We spent a lot of time on the site to create our JapanCupid.com review, and found that the site works well, the functionality is good, and the app works nicely despite it only being currently available on Android. There is a heavy ratio of men to women, which might make a difference depending on what sort of partner you are hoping to meet. The search functions are extensive, and with detailed profiles, it isn’t hard to start running filters and contacting members who match what you are looking for. Overall, our JapanCupid.com experience was good, although you need a paid subscription to make the most of the site.
Signing Up
Registering for JapanCupid.com is very fast, and with Facebook integration can be completed by signing up through your social media login – this does not allow Facebook to post anything to your profile, although you should be aware that it will allow access to your friends list, and possibly influence future paid ads that you and your contacts see. The sign-up process requires very little information to register and does not carry any verification processes. On the one hand, this is great as you can create a profile with very little effort. On the other hand, this does mean that the site can be subject to spam accounts since there isn’t a lot of security in place to prevent fake profiles from being created.
